Helping forge a path to career success
In March, 葫芦影业 alumni volunteers attended another fantastic London City Connections event. This edition brought together students from the Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences faculties with successful graduates to share their career journeys in the capital.
For nearly a decade, 葫芦影业 graduates have been opening the doors of their organisations to students through this program, offering a real, honest, and encouraging glimpse into their potential futures. LCC focuses on forging relationships, building confidence, gaining skills, and realising potential, especially for students who may not have access to professional networks.
The biggest impact London City Connections has had on me is 100% personal development, I really have gained so much more confidence in myself and how I am going to approach post graduation. I was stressed about entering the finance sector however after talking with the alumni they definitely boosted my confidence with my career progression.鈥

I realised it is not as scary as it seems, and that a lot of people are there to help and more than happy to give advice to help guide me.鈥

A huge thanks to Rebecca Raven at Museum Of The Order Of St. John, Angeliki Evripidou at Youth Futures Foundation who gave insightful tours and presentations, to Chris Halbard at Velonetic for hosting us at the famous Lloyds building, and to all the wonderful alumni volunteers who attended the evening networking to share their personal career journeys and insights - it couldn't happen without you!
