Jose is a Technical Fellow in Design for the Circular Economy at the AMRC (Design & Prototyping Group). He holds degrees in Industrial Design (BDes-Hons), Industrial Design Engineering (BEng), Product Design (MPhil), Sustainable Product Design Engineering (PhD) and Technology and Design (PGDip).
He worked as a Research Fellow in Sustainable Product Design (2008-2015), Hourly Paid Lecturer in Sustainable Product Design (2010-2012), Research Funding Manager (2015-2017) and Research and Business Development Officer (2017-2018) at Nottingham Trent University (UK).
Between 2018-2020, he worked as a Research Development Executive at the Research Institute for Future Transport and Cities, Coventry University.
