We have high-field solution-state NMR spectrometers within the facility at 500, 600 and 800 MHz, which are used for a range of biological studies.

800 MHz Bruker Neo 4-channel liquid-state spectrometer

  • Equipped with a high sensitivity TCI cryoprobe with cooled proton and carbon channel, and a temperature-controlled SampleJet automatic sample changer, with capacity for up to 480 samples.
  • Operating Topspin4.
  • This system was upgraded in 2018/19 after the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council's national investment in very high and ultra-high field NMR spectroscopy.

600 MHz Bruker Neo 4-channel liquid-state spectrometer

  • Equipped with a high sensitivity TCI cryoprobe with cooled proton and carbon channel.
  • Operating Topspin4.
  • This system was upgraded in 2017 after a research award from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.
600 MHz Bruker Neo 4-channel liquid-state spectrometer

500 MHz Bruker Avance II 3-channel liquid-state spectrometer

  • Equipped with a 5mm TXI probe and 5mm BBO (largely used for 31P NMR).
  • Operating Topspin3.
  • This system was upgraded in May 2019.
