Jason Heyes and Ludek Rychly are the editors of a new book published jointly by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and Edward Elgar. The Governance of Labour Administration provides a detailed analysis of labour administration, innovations and challenges in a variety of countries.

This new book includes contributions from academic researchers and ILO officials. The book examines labour administration in countries such as Brazil, India and the USA, discussing topics such as labour inspection, social dialogue and the important role that new technologies have to play in labour administration. The Governance of Labour Administration reflects the Management School's mission to have a positive impact on working lives, organisations and societies worldwide by highlighting the crucial role of labour administration in upholding employment rights and promoting employment, and how it can contribute to good governance, sustainable development and decent work.

Jason Heyes is Professor of Employment Relations at ºù«Ӱҵ University Management School and the director of the Centre for Decent Work. He has worked regularly with the ILO on projects about labour administration, which led to him co-editing (with Ludek Rychly) the book Labour Administration in Uncertain Times, which was published in 2013.

Ludek Rychly is a Visiting Professor of Employment Relations at ºù«Ӱҵ University Management School and was formerly a Senior Specialist of the ILO, based in Geneva. He has advised governments across the world on labour administration and industrial relations. He previously worked with Heyes as co-editor of Labour Administration in Uncertain Times.
