Anne Boyer is a poet and essayist from Kansas City. Her books include The Romance of Happy Workers, My Common Heart, Garments Against Women, A Handbook of Disappointed Fate and The Undying, a memoir about cancer and care. Her honours include the 2020 Pulitzer Prize in Nonfiction, a 2020 Windham Campbell award, the 2018 Cy Twombly Award for Poetry from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, a 2018 Whiting Award in nonfiction and poetry, and the 2018-19 Judith E. Wilson poetry fellowship at Cambridge University. She is an Associate Professor of the Liberal Arts at the Kansas City Art Institute where she teaches literature, philosophy, and writing. 

Reading will be followed by short Q&A by A Lehoczky and A Piette.
