The clearing process was so much simpler than I had imagined. At first, I didn’t know much about clearing so during the summer I did a lot of research. Many people described it as a stressful process due to spaces being limited, but that certainly wasn’t the case for me here at ºù«Ӱҵ.

During my time at college, I made sure that I worked hard to get better grades than expected and on results day I was so pleased that all my efforts and hard work had paid off.

This meant I had another chance to choose a university that was right for me. I originally had an unconditional offer at UWE Bristol, but I always wanted to pick a course which best reflects my interests, and I was so happy to find that at the University of ºù«Ӱҵ.

My course in European and International Law has a wide range of modules to choose from and is taught by highly qualified professionals - the University is part of the Russell Group and known for its international reputation.

The clearing process was so much simpler than I had imagined. At first, I didn’t know much about clearing so during the summer I did a lot of research. Many people described it as a stressful process due to spaces being limited, but that certainly wasn’t the case for me here at ºù«Ӱҵ.

I was able to apply through advanced registration which made the clearing process so much smoother. On results day, I felt reassured at every stage of the process and I was given an offer within an hour. The helpful team on the phone didn’t rush me, but instead were ready to listen to any questions I had. There wasn’t any pressure to make a decision quickly.

It was definitely a relief knowing that the University of ºù«Ӱҵ provides guaranteed accommodation for anyone coming through clearing. Even though I applied to the University later on, I was still given a choice of where I wanted to live and the type of accommodation I wanted to live in.

The University is amazing, and I really enjoy my course. The Students’ Union looks just like it does online – if not better!  It is so much more than just a building where students get together, it is currently home to over 370 clubs and societies and has SU officers who represent students by speaking up for them.

During my first year I have been a part of the Edward Bramley Law Society which keeps law students well informed of career events and opportunities.

Although the University of ºù«Ӱҵ is a city campus, I was surprised by how close all the buildings and facilities are. ºù«Ӱҵ really does feel like a student community - the people here are kind and ready to help when you are lost, it is a very welcoming city.

Just as my story has shown, your application journey does not end on results day. There are still so many universities and courses available for you to choose from. Try not to worry too much and stay confident in yourself and your decision. Think of this process as another opportunity to explore your options and I am sure you will find a place that is just right for you.
