What you can expect to do before and after your work placement with The Practice.

On

Before your placement

Pre-application activities may include 

  • being assigned a student ‘buddy’ mentor
  • group placement preparation sessions
  • student networking opportunities
  • pre-placement 'confidence' surveys to establish how you feel before the programme
  • workshops
  • guided tours of our campus
  • enrolling on to our massive open online course (MOOC) in the six weeks before your placement

After your placement

Post-application activities may include 

  • attending a lecture, with a Q&A session with an academic
  • application preparation
  • reflection and networking opportunities
  • post-placement 'confidence' surveys - to evaluate how your confidence has hopefully improved as a result of being on the programme
  • interview preparation support

International scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee.

Applications are open for existing offer holders for programmes starting in autumn 2025.
