Michelle joined the University in 2014 as Faculty Director of Operations (Science), before becoming Director of Academic Programme and Student Engagement in 2017, and Deputy Chief Operating Officer in 2022.

Michelle has responsibility for Student and Academic Services, which includes:

• Student Administration and Academic Affairs
• the Careers and Employability Service
• Student Health, Wellbeing and Support Services
• Educational Development Services
• the Central Apprenticeship Hub
• the English Language Teaching Centre
• Sport and Physical Activity.

Michelle is a member of the Chief Operating Officer’s Senior Management Team.

She has previously held positions at the University of Bradford and ºù«Ӱҵ Hallam University.

She holds a BSc in Chemistry and Chemical Technology and an MBA, both from Bradford University.
