Transcript:

Did you have any role models growing up?

My father is an electrical engineer so growing up I have always seen his work and the challenges associated with his work, including what he does to overcome the challenges and the sense of achievement when you can overcome that challenge.Women in Engineering.I believe it is important to erase the image that engineering is an all boys club, or a male dominated field. Some people still think that engineering is male dominated but you should not care about that opinion.

Why ºù«Ӱҵ?

I chose to study engineering at University because back in high school I liked maths and science; especially chemistry and physics. Engineering is about problem solving, creativity, innovation and technical knowledge. I like that it's hands on learning.

What excites you about engineering?

Last year I did a summer placement in Australia at a leading research organisation; the project was related to oil and gas. I came back to university after the summer and my third year project was on chocolate manufacture. It is a great experience to be able to see what I have learnt in chemical engineering can be applied to so many things

Engineering is about problem solving, creativity, innovation and technical knowledge.
