Festival of the Mind was the UK's first academic-city collaboration when it launched in 2012, a festival of cutting-edge thinking and entertainment.

The Ideas Bazaar event is the foundation of Festival of the Mind and welcomes all University of ºù«Ӱҵ researchers and creative practitioners from the region who have innovative ideas. Up to £5,000 funding is available for the best ideas to feature in Festival of the Mind 2024.

If you would like to collaborate with someone to help bring research, to life then come along to Ideas Bazaar.

Register for the Ideas Bazaar

You can register your attendance as either an exhibitor or as an attendee. As an exhibitor you will be allocated a stand and will be able to bring along exhibits to showcase your ideas. Both researchers and creatives can exhibit at the event.

Create an online profile

In addition to the registration form, you will have the opportunity to create an online profile where you can share details of your ideas, works, research, topics of interest and who you are looking to collaborate with. This will allow potential collaborators to discover your work and get in touch before, during and after the event.

For inspiration on how to setup your online profile, see the exhibitor and attendee profiles from the previous Ideas Bazaar:
