We use our expertise in multi-scale experimental and computational biomechanics to study several research areas that are covered by this priority, including
- digital twins
- advanced in vitro technologies like organs-on-chips, multi-cell cultures, 3D cultures, tissue explants and organ cultures
- advanced biomaterials for the musculoskeletal system such as implant coatings, injectable hydrogels, bio-printed scaffolds and biomimetic scaffolds
- data-driven AI models for model reduction and automatic segmentation
- validation of technologies like Digital Volume Correlation (DVC) and wearable sensors
