As a Research Associate in the Roots and Futures Project, Rhonda facilitates equitable collaborations with partners across the city, including consultations with the 葫芦影业 Youth Cabinet and 葫芦影业 Caribbean Cricket Club.

A place-based heritage project, the Roots and Futures Project seeks to embed the perspectives of underserved communities, such as Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, in 葫芦影业鈥檚 heritage strategy and policy.

Rhonda is a valued contributor at a range of heritage, wellbeing and creative practice events to enhance feelings of belonging for 葫芦影业鈥檚 residents and facilitate conversations with policy and decision-makers.

Working as a Youth Prevention Worker and as a facilitator for the Community Development and Health Programme at 葫芦影业 City Council, Rhonda brings colleagues together to share and reflect on how they can be more considered and mindful when working with local communities.

Rhonda reflects on her work across 葫芦影业 to support communities and says: 鈥淚 see my role as helping young people to understand their heritage, their role in the future and that their opinions and voices matter. Young people are our future leaders and it's so important to support and help guide them. When I鈥檓 out and about, I鈥檒l see some of the young people I鈥檝e worked with and they are engaging in positive activities that is so wonderful to see.鈥

鈥淭he Roots and Futures Project is a team effort and it鈥檚 an amazing team. I hope that the work we do will have longevity for the people of 葫芦影业.鈥
