Mengdie is a lecturer in Data Science in the Information School at the University of ºù«Ӱҵ. Her work focuses on understanding how people interact with AI systems in the process of interpreting data and then acquiring information, and how this interaction augments the user experience and influences decision-making. She specialises in using methods from Data Visualization, Machine Learning, HCI to create innovative methodologies and guide interface design, addressing challenges in areas such as healthcare and human mobility. She was a research associate at the UCL Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (UCL CASA). She completed a PhD in Information Retrieval at the University of ºù«Ӱҵ.
