SMART sanitisation
The SMART sanitisation project is a 15 month Innovate UK funded project for developing and evaluating a SMART hand sanitiser system for use in the office environment. The project is conducted in collaboration with The University of Leeds and Savortex (an SME specialising in SMART hand hygiene tech).
Background and aims
Hand hygiene is a key strategy against the spread of Covid-19. This project will develop and deploy an innovative SMART loT (Internet of Things) hand sanitiser device that connects into a building's SMART operating system. This new system aims to improve the standards of hand hygiene in workplaces. The technology will be able to monitor sanitiser use in real-time and send reminders to staff to sanitise their hands, or restrict building access for those that haven’t.
ºù«Ӱҵ will analyse the effectiveness of the SMART hand sanitisers and investigate how people feel about the use of SMART systems in their workplace.
