Research interests

Why Report to the Police?

Exploring the motivations and influencing factors that drive people to report sexual violence to the police. The aim of this research is to gain an understanding of the factors that influence a victim鈥檚 decision to report sexual violence to the police and to better understand why some victims choose not to report to the police. In particular this research will focus on the motivations and influencing factors that have driven victims to come forward and examine if these are the same for both men and women.
