Aerospace Engineering at ºù«Ӱҵ offers prospective students state-of-the-art teaching facilities, industry-standard equipment, and interdisciplinary teaching that has enabled many of our graduates to secure employment for world-renowned engineering firms.

Labs

The Aerospace labs are located in The Diamond, and includes simulators and engine technology such as:

  • Sixteen Wren jet engines
  • Four Armfield C15 bench-top, sub-sonic wind tunnels
  • GUNT ET796 jet engine test bench
  • Ten X-Plane flight simulators for flight control and navigation
  • Rolls-Royce heritage jet engine
  • Five Merlin MP500-1 Plus flight simulators

Our courses have rich and varied contents including work on avionic systems, electronic circuits, control systems and aerospace materials, among many others.

The flexibility of our undergraduate courses means you can choose a range of study options: BEng, MEng or MEng-plus style courses such as a year in industry, year in North America or foundation year.

Should you be in a position to pursue a postgraduate qualification, our newly introduced MSc degrees are a great alternative option to the MEng.
