Key research interests: workplace democracy, ethics, critical pedagogy, leadership
At the core of Anna鈥檚 research is the assumption that workplace democracy benefits workers, organisations and the broader society. Her work focuses on the critical assessment of contemporary workplace practices and finding ways for workers to increase their control over their working lives and their involvement in organisational decision-making.
One of Anna鈥檚 current projects is study of how UK organisations implement the 2015 government requirement to disclose the gender pay gap in their workplaces. The goal is to understand whether increased transparency facilitates employee resistance of injustice and contributes to ethical conduct in organisations. Another project explores the integration of critical perspectives into the mainstream management curriculum and engaging students in discussions of politics, ideological systems, and cultural phenomena. Anna is also interested in the concepts and practices of leadership, employee voice and organisational responsibility. She has published in such journals as Management Learning, Journal of Business Ethics and British Journal of Management.
