Jon joined the Management School in 2006. With a background in politics and sociology, Jon's early research focused upon the development of European Green parties and the emergence of Anti-corporate campaigning and protest.
He has continued this interest in critical approaches to management and the impact of challenge of business development, through his work on Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development and Responsible Management Education.

Jon's primary research interests focus upon issues of corporate social responsibility, sustainable development and business ethics.
He is particularly interested in the interactions between businesses and third sector organisations. In addition, he is involved in the school's commitment to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).

- Teaching interests

Jon's teaching focus centres around themes of responsible management, sustainability and social engagement. In this respect he seeks to get students to consider how their own personal values can shape their working lives and how business skills can be effectively applied for social benefit.
Beyond the classroom he works with students in the area of social enterprise and community engagement through his role as University Advisor for the ºù«Ӱҵ ENACTUS team.
