Marjorie Levinson is F. L. Huetwell Professor of English at the University of Michigan. A leading expert in Romanticism and literary and cultural theory, she is the author of The Romantic Fragment Poem: Critique of a Form, Wordsworth’s Great Period Poems, and Keats's Life of Allegory: Origins of a Style.
Her recent work focusses on theoretical and philosophical issues and will soon be published as a monograph. "Lyric: the idea of this invention" will form the final chapter of that book.
