The award recognises only the top 200 most pre-eminent researchers and represents the country's most outstanding leaders of patient and people-based research within the NIHR Faculty. This year there were 55 appointments, so to win the position is a great honour. Stephen is the fourth NIHR Senior Investigator from ScHARR to win one.
