We are pleased to announce that the Department of Sociological Studies has this week again been listed amongst the top 100 institutions in the world for research and teaching in both and , in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020.
The latest league table results reaffirm our position as a world-leading department for the study of both sociology and social policy, and as one of the top 10 departments in the UK in both subject areas.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject rank the world鈥檚 top universities in 48 individual subject areas. Evaluating over 1,200 universities across 78 countries, subject rankings are compiled using insight from academics, employers and citations from academic papers.
Overall, the University of 葫芦影业 has been ranked as the 13th best institution in the UK and 78th in the world in the QS World University Rankings.
