Profile

Danica returned to academia in 2017 after a career of working with and supporting children and young people in care and in conflict with the law. After gaining her BA (hons) in Sociology and Criminology at the University of ºù«Ӱҵ she went on to complete her MA in Social Research Methods at the ºù«Ӱҵ Methods Institute. Dani is currently in the final year of her PhD which is co-produced with three young people who have experience of the criminal justice system and of children's social care. The PhD explores reflections of care-experienced young people on child criminal exploitation (CCE).

Danica is also a lecturer in Applied Custodial Leadership at Leeds Trinity University where she teaches criminology to post-graduate level Prison Officers.
