Description

Learn how sociologists approach social phenomena in fieldwork, and how interviewing and observation plays a key role in understanding the social world.

Digital media and our identities: Secrecy, privacy and anonymity

In this session, you'll learn about how researchers study society by using methods like talking to people and observing what happens in real-life situations.

We'll look at a unique approach called Institutional Ethnography, which helps us understand how things work in different places, like schools or workplaces.

You'll also find out how interviews and watching people can give us valuable insights into how the social world functions.

This session is suitable for students in years 12 and 13.
