Lucy joined the School of Economics as a University Teacher following the completion of her PhD in 2024. Her research focuses on the field of Education Economics, with a particular interest in understanding the factors that drive inequalities in education. Currently, her work is centred around key topics such as instructional time, access to childcare, and the impact of ethnic diversity on educational outcomes.
Using advanced applied econometric techniques, Lucy aims to uncover the critical role that education plays in shaping pupils' success and long-term societal outcomes. Her expertise lies in linking and analysing large-scale survey data and administrative datasets, leveraging statistical methods to address complex, policy-relevant questions.
