Mina Lee graduated from MPH International Development in 2020 and currently works as a Project Officer at the Korean National Tuberculosis Association.

What are your main responsibilities in your current role?

I have the responsibility of managing and implementing a global tuberculosis project which is funded by UNOPS.

Please outline your career history: how did you get to where you are today?

I've worked within the health profession; previously I was a Medical Laboratory Technician.

Why did you want to come to the University of ºù«Ӱҵ to study your chosen degree?

This MPH International Course was attractive for me to obtain the knowledge for both academic and practical study.

What were your favourite things about or best memories of the University of ºù«Ӱҵ?

The best thing was that I could choose between the various and different styles of the library for study, depending on my mood. For example, if I wanted to feel like being open, I used to go to the western bank library. In addition, I was through my course I went on trips to developing countries (Nepal and Tanzania) for qualitative research. It was the best memory that I've had in my life.

Please explain how has your qualification and/or time at ºù«Ӱҵ helped you in your career?

I was able to conduct qualitative research in Nepal and Tanzania thanks to my course. It was beneficial to get the opportunity to be a project officer of developing countries. Thus, I have been involved in implementing the TB project and carrying out gender research in Cambodia. Moreover, my resume and interview was developed with support from the consultant from the Careers Service at the University of ºù«Ӱҵ.

What has been your greatest achievement to date?

As I was a person who was an International student, obtained MPH degree without any problem and accident, was my greatest achievement.

International scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships worth £10,000 towards the annual tuition fee.
