The Wolfson Light Microscopy Facility encourages collaborations between physicists, biologists, chemists and engineers. It supports research carried out at other facilities within the University of ºù«Ӱҵ, and elsewhere.

More than 45 highly experienced research groups use the Light Microscopy Facility, which supports more than 145 individual researchers. One of the main draws of the facility is our OMX system, which is not readily found at other universities.

External organisations from across the region can use the LMF, where they can reap a number of benefits such as:

  • Access to a wide range of confocal and widefield systems
  • Use of the image analysis suite
  • The input of the on-site team of experienced scientists, who can answer questions along the way
