Higher Education Funding Council for England
The Higher Education Funding Council for England distributed public funding for teaching and research to Universities and Colleges. It closed on 1 April 2018 to be replaced by UK Research and Innovation and Office for Students. Office for Students continues to support the NTDC, which facilitates the ongoing management and development of the Toolkit.
One of the many issues is understanding the breadth and depth of the technician workforce.The answers to many of these problems are complex and non-trivial and that is why we have funded the TDM project at ºù«Ӱҵ.

Institute of Science and Technology
The Institute of Science and Technology provides individual and focused professional support to a wide group of specialist, technical and managerial colleagues in a broad range of environments such as science, engineering, industry, local authorities, schools, FE, HE, research/analytical/health facilities, government departments and many more in the UK and overseas.
Being a Professional Body run by technicians for technicians, it is fantastic to be involved and able to represent their views.

Higher Education and Technician’s Educational Development
Higher Education and Technician’s Educational Development is the leading provider of professional development and networking opportunities for all disciplines of the technical workforce in higher and further education, and related organisations across the UK. HEaTED is supported by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation.
The role of technicians is increasingly recognised as essential to the organisations for which they work. TDM career development frameworks will only serve to enhance recognition and future prospects for technical staff.
