She specialises in metaphor analysis, functional grammar and corpus linguistics, with a particular interest in the application of these theories in language teaching, intercultural communication, and health communication.

Frances Gallagher is an accomplished professional in the fashion industry with a strong  background in product development and innovation. Frances has been fortunate to travel extensively throughout her career, with a particular focus on Asia with her first overseas trip in 2002 right through to present day. She also had the opportunity to live in Shanghai, China, for three years, from 2007 to 2010 which demonstrated deep immersion in Chinese culture and business practices, which is invaluable for navigating relationships and operations in Asia. 

She has first-hand experience working in China, particularly during a period of rapid economic growth (2007-2010),which provided unique insights into market trends, manufacturing landscapes and regional dynamics.
