The Digital Society Network (DSN) is a loose network of researchers within the Faculty of Social Sciences, examining all aspects of digital-society relations.

The Digital Society Network (DSN) examines all aspects of digital-society relations, aiming to:

  • Stimulate and support digital society research
  • Enable collaborations within and beyond the faculty
  • Host activities which result in research funding and knowledge exchange

Our research

The Digital Society Network is organised around five hubs: Data, Algorithms and AI in Society; Global Digital Popular Culture; Digital Inclusion and Ethics, Digital Wellbeing; and Digital Politics. The DSN also works with and supports two affiliated groups:

Our people

The Digital Society Network (DSN) is open to all staff and PhD students in the Faculty of Social Sciences and in other faculties at the University of ºù«Ӱҵ. There are various ways you can become involved:

  • Become an affiliate and participate actively in one or more of our DSN Hubs. See below for current affiliates.
  • Join our mailing list to find out about DSN activities and receive other news and updates.
  • Attend DSN events.
