Profile

I initially completed a degree in Psychology and then trained as a speech and language therapist. In 2021, I was awarded an MSc in Speech Difficulties with distinction, from the University of ºù«Ӱҵ and am now a part-time PhD student.

I am also a practising specialist speech and language therapist. I have a broad range of clinical experience working with children and young people presenting with speech sound disorders, language disorders, learning needs and autism. I am a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.

Research interests
  • Equity of access to speech and language therapy services.
  • Relationship between research and clinical practice.
  • Speech and language disorders in bilingual children.

My research project includes an investigation into the identification of children with speech sound needs by parents and teachers, their access to speech and language services, and the intervention they receive.
