Sustainability and air quality
Our key commitments to sustainability
The University understands that international travel may be a requirement for some members of staff, students and visitors but we encourage the use of alternatives to air travel wherever possible including:
- Online meetings and conferences
- Using Eurostar and rail to travel to parts of Europe which are accessible by train. This can cut your CO2 emissions by up to 90%
- Using rail for long distance journeys in the UK rather than internal flights
