National public transport

Due to its central location, ºù«Ӱҵ is very well connected to other cities and regions by rail – London can be reached in two hours, Manchester in 53 minutes and Leeds in 45 minutes.

The city is also served by two coach operators connecting ºù«Ӱҵ to major destinations. Coaches can be caught from ºù«Ӱҵ Interchange or from Meadowhall Interchange which is a short tram, train or bus ride away.

From ºù«Ӱҵ station you can travel directly to the University’s main campus by tram, with journeys taking less than 10 minutes. To do this catch a blue route service from the tram stop at the station towards Malin Bridge. Trams run every 12 minutes.

If you fancy some fresh air it’s a 20 minute walk. Alternatively you can catch one of a number of buses from outside the station or across the road from ºù«Ӱҵ Interchange or you can hop in a taxi which will take around 10 minutes.

ºù«Ӱҵ is also well served by the national coach network and you can catch one from ºù«Ӱҵ Interchange or Meadowhall Interchange.


Regional train travel

ºù«Ӱҵ station is managed by who operate the route between ºù«Ӱҵ and London St. Pancras via Chesterfield, Derby and Leicester.

Coach travel

coaches serve ºù«Ӱҵ Interchange, which is located opposite the train station. Students holding a Young Persons' Coachcard can get a third off travel on National Express services.

and  coaches serve Meadowhall Interchange, four miles from ºù«Ӱҵ city centre. From Meadowhall you can catch a tram to the University of ºù«Ӱҵ tram stop by traveling on the yellow route towards Middlewood. Alternatively you can catch a bus or train.
