I started my PhD with the School of Biosciences in 2023, with the research project of applying a machine learning approach and remote sensors to model crop yields and stress. I have a background in Computer Science (BSc) and Big Data Analytics (MSc), with a particular interest in machine learning techniques. My masters dissertation project involved predicting climbing grades on the Moonboard given a sequence of moves; this sequential approach has led to me exploring recurrent neural networks further, and I hope to harness them to partially resolve the issue of data availability in the space of agriculture.
